I am having a similar 'Failed to initialize COM' problem on Mac OS X 10.7.5, VirtualBox 4.2.2. but I don't see any kind of verification against OS X Server.īeen looking for a day now and haven't got a clue anymore where to look.Īre there people out there having the same kind of problems? so the version I'm using 4.1.18 should work.
There have been issues with the support of Virtualbox but the testlevel was set to 4.1.15. SInce a number of things have fundamentally changed (X11 removed) I wonder what I need to do to get my Virtualbox working again and what is the **** difference that the installation of the server component causes. On my MacBook Pro I did the upgrade to ML too, but without the upgrade of the Lion Server to OS X Server. Most likely, the VirtualBox server is not running or failed to start. Got a problem since migrated to Mac OS X Mountain Lion with in addition OS X Server application installed to replace Mac OS X Lion server on a Mac Mini.Īll was working fine until the day after the installation I got the following message when I start VirtualBox:įailed to initialize COM or to find the VirtualBox COM server.
